![]() The HSc was a sleek, blowback pistol with an exposed hammer and an 8-round magazine. ![]() The result was the Mauser HSc, which had been developed by Alex Siedel between 19. By the mid-1930s, Mauser needed a new design to compete with Walther’s successful PP and PPK models. Although it was a fine pistol, it was also complex to manufacture and use. The latter model was originally designed as the 6.35mm Br Modell 1910. Their production of service pistols included the 9mm Parabellum P08 Luger (1934-1942) and P38 (1942-1945), and the 7.65mm Br. ![]() Their products were deeply respected for the design and quality.
